The American Birkebeiner (or Birkie) is the largest, and one of the longest (50 km Freestyle and 54 km Classical events) cross country ski races in North America. The two premier events are the 54 km (34 mi) classic and the 50 km (31 mi) freestyle race from Cable to Hayward, Wisconsin. Visit Lake Point Lodge in February to catch the big event!

 

The Birkebeiner Trail is open for you to enjoy biking, skiing or hiking year 'round. There are also many other trails to explore.
